The NCA difference

It’s time to see how intentional discipleship and academic excellence work together for student flourishing.

Mission

Naples Christian Academy partners with committed Christian parents to develop students with hearts impassioned to love God, minds disciplined to think biblically, and hands prepared to serve at home, at church, and in the world.

Vision

Our vision at NCA is to disciple and equip students to be lifelong followers of Jesus Christ who are purposefully engaged in redemptive Kingdom building, marked by a faithfulness to God's Word, servant leadership, a teachable spirit and enduring joy.

Values

Naples Christian Academy values intentional discipleship, abiding joy, biblical community, continual growth, and servant leadership. These values permeate everything we do at Naples Christian Academy; they are both foundational and dynamic in creating and sustaining our flourishing culture.

Spiritual formation

Committed Christian parents seek to cultivate profound, personal, and lasting faith in their children. They desire to “train up a child in the way he should go; [for] even when he is old, he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). At Naples Christian Academy, our mission of partnering with committed Christian parents informs and guides the spiritual formation process, such that students take hold of biblical truth, sound theology, and the gospel of Jesus – and walk with the Lord all the days of their lives. Discipleship, then, is personal, systematic, and integrated into every part of the school day. Teachers engage in this process, walking with students over the course of their education, knowing students deeply and speaking into their lives. Teachers integrate biblical truth – and a biblical worldview – into every subject area. Students experience opportunities to discover their God-given gifts and abilities, and to use those gifts to meet the world’s needs in service to the King. The entire NCA team partners with parents to guide and mentor every NCA student over the course of his or her education – all with the end goal of sending out fully devoted followers of Christ to the ends of the earth.

See how we integrate spiritual formation into each grade level!

Core values

As a Christ-centered institution, our core values define who we are and ensure we remain committed to carrying out our vision and mission with excellence and integrity.

Discipleship

Our teachers know and understand their students’ hearts, spiritual gifts, and areas of growth; they readily and energetically take opportunities to individually counsel and mentor students for their spiritual development.

Growth

Each student progresses at a different rate; teachers meet students where they are and encourage their continual spiritual and academic growth, helping each student recognize his or her unique gifts. Our teachers develop students with minds disciplined to think Biblically as they pursue growth, lifelong learning, and excellence in all things.

Joy

We are a community of joy spreaders! We live in dependence on God and on one another. Regardless of circumstances, we have hearts impassioned to love God.

Biblical Community

We cultivate a community that feels like a family. When you walk into Naples Christian Academy, you experience an environment of Christ-centered love and peace.

Servant Leadership

We are called by God to serve one another in love. Our students identify needs and seek creative means of meeting the needs of others, using their unique, God-given gifts. We train students to be missional – developing hands prepared to serve.

Chapel

Weekly chapels encourage student growth and formation as we engage in corporate worship and benefit from expository bible teaching.

During chapel, we engage in corporate worship. We celebrate God’s faithfulness and embrace “in all things, Christ is pre-eminent.”

(Colossians 1:18)
Chapel at NCA

Each week, all students benefit from systematic, expository bible teaching at developmentally-appropriate levels.

Our school community engages in corporate, authentic worship that permeates the halls of our school building.

Together, we worship the triune God and learn more about His grand story of redemption and how that transforms the way we should live.

NCA students develop a passion to worship God with their lives. They learn how God has gifted them in the context of our biblical community, learning how to build His kingdom through service opportunities.

Parent partnership

Parents are the primary educators of their children; NCA exists to partner with committed Christian parents in the education of their children. Teachers build strong relationships with parents to develop growth in students.

  • NCA’s biblical community consists of like-minded, Christian parents who desire to train up their children in the way they should go.
  • Teachers work with parents to disciple students and meet their spiritual, academic, and emotional needs.
  • Parents represent an integral part of our school community; teachers welcome parents in the classroom during regularly-scheduled community and academic events. Parents participate as volunteers in the life of our school.

Academic rigor

As a Christian school, we believe it’s our biblical imperative to provide the highest level of academics to our community. We pursue excellence in education, and therefore, we employ a model of continuous school improvement.

  • Teachers support student learning by providing differentiated instruction. Teachers meet students’ individual needs, challenging and equipping them to grow.
  • Students engage in hands-on, experiential learning activities. As a school, we provide opportunities for students to experience God’s creation and the truth of Scripture.
  • Teachers integrate biblical truth across the curriculum, teaching students to think critically about information.

Small-school environment

NCA maintains a small-school environment, such that children are known and loved for who God has created them to be. Teachers disciple students and develop long-lasting relationships.

  • A small-school environment means that teachers are able to help students transition seamlessly from one grade level to the next, as they have relationships with students long before they enter their classroom.
  • Middle school teachers mentor students in their subject area over the course of three years, challenging them towards growth and excellence.
  • Because of our small-school environment, NCA is a place that feels like home and a community that feels like a family. Our ministry extends beyond the classroom.

Missions

All NCA students engage in service opportunities, learning how to best come alongside missions partners to build Christ’s kingdom.

Samaritan’s Purse

Families pack essential items, toiletries, and new toys into shoe boxes in the months leading up to Christmas, providing physical blessing to recipients while also praying for their salvation. Samaritan’s Purse ships these boxes all over the world for distribution to children at risk.

Grace Center Ethiopia

Students raise funds to give to the world’s most vulnerable women and children in Ethiopia.

Laces of Love

Families school-wide collect new shoes for local distribution, partnering with Laces of Love, an organization that provides new athletic shoes and socks to families living in poverty across Collier County.

Servant Leadership Team

Middle school students gather once a week to identify areas of potential service for students across all grade levels. Servant leadership team members are the first to volunteer to serve themselves even as they garner support, coordinate logistics, and demonstrate a high capacity for leadership and service.

8th Grade International Missions Trip

8th grade students plan student ministries and participate in work projects on an international missions trip every spring. They raise support and ask for prayer partners and donors from the entire student body.

Statement of faith

In as much as Naples Christian Academy is interdenominational and theologically conservative, the basis of the Academy is the Word of God and the great fundamentals of Christianity found in the following unalterable, irreducible essentials of the Christian faith:

The Authority and Truth of the Bible

The Bible, consisting of the original texts of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God, the written record of His supernatural revelation of Himself to man, absolute in its authority, complete in its revelation, final in its content, and free from any error or defect. (II Timothy 3:16)

The Person and Power of God

There is one God who exists in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, eternal in being, identical in essence, equal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfection. God is the self-revealed Creator, Upholder, Governor, and Lord of the universe. He is eternal in his self-existence and unchanging in his love, goodness, justice, wisdom, and faithfulness. (Deuteronomy 6:4; II Corinthians 13:14)

The Creation and Condition of Man

Creation was a direct act of God as set forth in the Bible. Man was created by God in the image and likeness of God and is not in any sense the product of evolution. Man inherited a sinful nature due to the disobedience of the first man, Adam, and as a result, mankind became alienated from God and is totally unable without God’s grace to reestablish a relationship with God. This sinful nature separates mankind from God, resulting in spiritual death, and there is no hope for salvation, eternal life, or a right relationship with God without the loving, supernatural intervention of God. (Genesis 1:26, 3:1-24; Romans 3:23, 5:12; Ephesians 2:12)

The Person and Work of Christ

The Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal and only Son of God, became man, without ceasing to be God, having been conceived of the Holy Spirit and miraculously born of the virgin Mary, in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man. Jesus showed His power and love by working mighty miracles that were not contrary to nature but superior to it. Jesus was crucified, died, and rose from the dead with the same body with which He suffered. He ascended into heaven, where He is with God the Father and fulfills the ministry of intercession and advocacy. Jesus will come again to earth the second time personally, bodily, and visibly. (Matthew 1:18-25; Luke 1:16-38; John 1:1-3, 14; Acts 1:11; I Corinthians 15:1-8; Philippians 2:5-9; Colossians 1:15; I Thessalonians 4:16; Revelation 1:7)

The Salvation and Redemption of Man

Salvation of people is available as a free gift of God, by His grace alone, and is based solely upon Christ’s death and finished work on the cross and His resurrection from the dead. No works of man play any part in salvation. God accomplished man’s redemption through the death of Jesus on the cross as a substitutionary sacrifice. Salvation is received by faith. Persons who receive Christ and His salvation by faith become completely forgiven, spiritually alive, right with God, born of the Spirit, children of God, new creations in Christ, and heirs of eternal life with God. (John 1:12-13; 3:16-17; Romans 5:1; 10:9-13; I Corinthians 15:17; II Corinthians 5:21; Ephesians 1:7, 2:1, 8-10;)

The Person and Presence of the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment. He regenerates believers in Christ, lives within believers permanently, empowers believers to live godly lives, and gives spiritual gifts to every believer to be used for God’s purposes. (John 14:16-19; 16:7-15; Romans 8:9, 11; I Corinthians 12; Ephesians 1:13-14; Titus 3:5)

The Mission and Responsibility of the Church

The Mission and Responsibility of the Church. The church, or the body of Christ, is composed of all true believers in Him, that is, those who have received Christ by faith, regardless of denominational affiliation or church membership. The mission of the church is to fulfill the command of Jesus to make disciples of all nations. (Matthew 28:19; I Corinthians 12:4-27; Ephesians 1:22-23)

Our rich history

Naples Christian Academy was founded in 1973 by a group of parents from Covenant Church in Naples, Florida who desired to carry out the biblical command found in Proverbs 22:6: “train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old, he will not depart from it.” This group of parents sought to establish a small, Christian school committed to integrating the Bible into every part of the school day. They also prioritized excellence in academics as they sought to hire and retain outstanding educators for their children. Through challenges and joys, we continue on in this vein today at Naples Christian Academy, seeking both biblical integration and academic excellence, relying on our team of outstanding educators to partner with committed Christian parents to disciple and train the next generation of fully devoted followers of Christ.
